The Paper Binder Problem

Managing physical Safety Data Sheets is a massive liability hiding in plain sight.

Always Outdated

Manufacturers update SDS constantly. If your binder has a 5-year-old sheet, you're out of compliance and liable.

Hard to Find

During an emergency or an OSHA audit, employees waste precious minutes hunting for the right binder and page.

Massive Fines

HazCom violations average $16,550+ per citation. A single missing sheet can cost more than a year of payroll.

Compliance in 3 Simple Steps

Frequently asked questions

The answers most facility managers want before signing up.

Can I import my existing SDS PDFs?

Yes. Upload your current SDS files directly to each chemical record (PDF, up to 25 MB each). SafeSheet keeps the original document and reads expiration and revision dates so you can track them.

Is the QR scan page secure? Does it expose internal data?

QR pages are scoped to a single location. They show only the chemical name, manufacturer, GHS pictograms, hazard statements, and the SDS document — exactly what an employee needs in an emergency. No employee data, no organization details, no audit logs are visible to someone who scans a sticker.

What OSHA standard does this satisfy?

SafeSheet is built around 29 CFR 1910.1200 — the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, including the GHS Revision 7 changes employers must adopt by November 2026. We're a compliance tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by OSHA.

How long does setup actually take?

For a small shop with under 50 chemicals, most facilities are operational in well under an hour: create your account, add chemicals (smart lookup pre-fills hazard data from NIH's public database), assign them to a location, print the QR code. Larger inventories take longer simply because there's more to enter.

What happens to my data after the 14-day trial?

Your data stays put. If you don't subscribe, your account moves to a paywalled state — you can still log in and export your data, but new chemical and SDS additions are paused until you pick a plan. Nothing is deleted automatically.

Can I export everything if I cancel?

Yes. You can export your chemical inventory and download every SDS file you uploaded. OSHA requires SDS history retention, and SafeSheet doesn't lock you in.

How is this different from a shared Google Drive folder?

Drive holds files; it doesn't track expirations, enforce GHS pictograms, generate OSHA-compliant secondary container labels, or give workers a 2-second QR scan path to the right SDS in an emergency. It also doesn't produce the audit trail an inspector wants to see.

Where is my data stored?

SafeSheet runs on managed Postgres and object storage (Supabase, hosted in the United States). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with row-level security enforcing organization boundaries. Backups are managed by the platform.
